Bookmans announces the kickoff of its wonderful summer 2010 program for kids

Families of Deployed National Guard and Reserve


Active Duty Title 10 Only (Title 32 personnel not authorized due to funding restrictions)

  • Families of Guard/Reserve personnel who are deployed for a minimum of six months.
  • Deploying service members are eligible for YMCA memberships with their family for three months pre- and post- deployment.
  • Families are eligible for the duration of the deployment, not to exceed 18 months (which includes service member three months pre- and post- deployment).

Memberships are renewable in six month increments contingent upon use
MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL REQUIREMENT: 8 VISITS PER MONTH (PER FAMILY or FAMILY MEMBER)

Minimum length of membership is six months.

Registration

A copy of deployment orders and a military ID card must be presented when applying for YMCA membership.

Due to unforeseen circumstances the 2010 Family Programs State Workshop and Youth Symposium has been rescheduled to August 27-29, 2010. The location will still be in the Phoenix area but the exact location has not yet been determined and will be put out at a later date.   All those who have registered will still be considered as registered for the new dates in August. If for any reason you are not able to attend on the new dates in August, please contact the
Family Programs Office (602-267-2391 or 602-267-2593) and your registration will be cancelled.
Attached are the new registration forms (in Word and PDF) that have been changed to reflect the new date -
YOU DO NOT NEED TO FILL A NEW ONE OUT IF YOU ALREADY HAVE SUBMITTED ONE.

The Strong Bonds Couples Weekend Retreat that is offered to the National Guard Service Member and loved one is designed to strengthen relationships.  This retreat not only offers a FREE getaway for you and your spouse, but you will gain practical, useful information. Attached application must be completed to be placed on a list. You will be contacted prior to the Marriage Enrichment Retreat informing you that you are either on the list to attend or have been placed on a waiting list.
